Fantastic choice, sweet Debi. I adore the sense of vitality and heartwarming slice-of-daily-life quality that painting gives off in spades.

It’s awesome that another of the many (I’ve lost track at this point – love that!) things we share in common is a similar pastoral landscape to call home. What are some of the main crops (beyond hay, I mean) that your area produces?

What a beautiful and immensely meaningful array of sightings and activities to launch into August with. I just saw four gorgeous local deer this morning myself (two mamas, each with one sweet little youngster apiece). Squirrels are strangely rare around these parts (I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve spotted one in our yard in the 3.5 years we’ve lived at this house), so no sightings of those furry little cutie pies as of late. Perhaps as we get even closer to fall, one or two will stop by to hello. 😃

I sincerely enjoyed hearing about how this month began for you and hope that it has continued to be no less lovely in the days and weeks since.
