We don’t have a Christmas tree post-fire yet, but I am really, really hoping that 2022 is the year we’re able to add one into our lives again. I have seriously missed decorating a tree over the past half a decade.

I have already said to Tony that if I’m blessed to receive any money and/or suitable gift cards for my birthday, I would love to put it towards making that happen. Fingers crossed!

Whenever that is able to happen again, I plan to decorate it in a dark/spooky and possibly (also) Victorian/Edwardian direction.

Aww! You are very welcome! Between Covid and the impact of the horrific late autumn flooding here on BC on our postal system, a lot of our holiday greetings took longer than usual to reach their destinations. I hope our card helped to keep the festive spirit going a bit longer on your end.

Interstingly, I’m still feeling it big time around these parts – no doubt the mountains of snow in our backyard contribute a fair bit there.

I adore using tulle with some my shaker projects (see for example, this entry shortly after this site was launched: https://witchcraftedlife.com/heartfelt-thanks-bat-sequins-halloween-shaker-card/) as well – especially since it adds next to no weight (and exceedingly little height, too, as a general rule), which can be important when sending our projects through the mail.

Aww, thank you so much, dearest Inky. Those teeny-tiny peppermint candies really are the cutest! They were part of a sequins mix I bought online a while back and I carefully picked them out to use as part of my own (homemade) sequins selection here.

I am delighted to report that we’re having a really enjoyable holiday season thus far and, in doing so, are trying to distance our minds and hearts as much as possible from the many worries and challenges of 2021 (no shortage of which are still ongoing).

We’ve been getting some seriously chilly temps already this winter. Usually, they come calling in January and February, but this time around, they kicked off before Santa had even returned. 😄 (Case in point, we woke up to a very nippy -28C/-18.4F this morning.)

Light has been on my mind a fair bit lately – especially since, despite the fact that we’ve hit unseasonably low temps extra early in the winter this time around, we’ve had no shortage of gloriously pretty sunshine here in recent days.

I sense you were speaking from a spiritual/faith-based perspective, though, which while our paths differ on that front, I sincerely understand the significance of for yourself and countless others around the world.
