I will forever maintain that no shortage of the world’s – and humanity’s – present challenges stem from how divorced a sizable percentage of the population has become from the ebb and flow of nature’s perpetual cycles on this incredible planet of ours.

I sense that – for all the recent prevalence of the internet, or perhaps actually because of it – gradually more and more individuals are striving to strengthen their connection to nature again and believe that doing so on a very large scale will be imperative if the Earth is to survive for (relatively speaking) all that much longer.

Our own neighbourhood, while fairly residential, is peppered with swaths of woodland – including the many lofty evergreens and ethereally lovely birches that call our (literal) backyard home.
