In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/book-review-hocus-pocus-in-focus-by-aaron-wallace/#comment-1687">Donna W</a>.

Your kindness is joy sparking, dearest Donna. Thank you tremendously.

This fall has been a busy roller coaster of a season, and my health has continued to act up a decent amount (to be fair, all things considered, by my personal standards and excluding a couple of rather sizeable issues, much of 2018 and 2019 were quite calm on the health front for me; this year is more the norm than the exception, really), but aside from those points, things are well and we've been lapping up the beauty and happiness of autumn big time.

Weather-wise, the season actually came to a rather stretching halt in the second half of October. Snow started tumbling down again quite early this year in our area and has continued to do so on and off again since that point. At the moment, there are several inches and counting in our backyard. Certainly not the most autumnal looking landscape, but both inside our house in and in my heart it is still fall proper for a few more weeks.

That said, I do have a stronger than usual urge to start decorating for the winter holiday season - no doubt, I'm sure, in large part because of the early, now ongoing, snow.

I likewise hope that things are positive on as many fronts as possible for you guys and that you're having a sunny, safe, beautiful spring in AU.

Big hugs,

In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/book-review-hocus-pocus-in-focus-by-aaron-wallace/#comment-1670">Ann</a>.

Sweet Ann, I am truly sorry for the profoundly difficult year that you experienced in 1993. It's incredible, isn't it, how intensely the heaviest, darkest and most stressful chapters of our life not only impact us in the moment, but for the rest of our days?

Please, really and truly, do not worry for a nanosecond that you've not yet had a chance to watch Hocus Pocus. That just means that your inaugural viewing is still waiting to happen, if so desired.

It's such a charming, spirited, creative gem of a Halloween movie - with no shortage of great characters and equally fantastic sets + locations. If you do give it a watch, I hope that you adore Hocus Pocus as well and would be delighted to hear your own take on it anytime.

The sweetest, coziest of November wishes coming your way,

No matter if I live to be 125 years old (could you imagine?), I honestly don't think I will ever sport a Halloween costume that I adore more or which means as much to me as this one day.

Immense hugs & the loveliest of November blessings coming your way,

I have to admit that I've never seen Hocus Pocus, possibly as a) I was 32 in 1993, and b) that year was possibly one of the worst in my life, in which nothing much appealed to me and the greater scheme of things completely passed me by.
I admire your contagious enthusiasm for the movie, which would prompt me to give it a go if I came across it channel-hopping. I'm glad to hear the book lived up to your great expectations! xxx

Thank you so much, dear Donna. You're sweeter than a whole Halloween season's worth of candy corn.

What an exciting treat to get to watch this fun, festive All Hallows' Eve film for the first time. I really hope that you enjoy it and would love to hear your thoughts on Hocus Pocus anytime, if you'd like to share them with me.

Happiest Halloween weekend wishes!

In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/book-review-hocus-pocus-in-focus-by-aaron-wallace/#comment-1640">Sheila (of Ephemera)</a>.

Thank you very much, dear Shelia. I get that for sure. There are plenty of kids movies that come out these days that I don't see (especially since I'm not a mom and our only nephew lives in Italy). I suspect, adoring Halloween as I do, that had I been an adult in 1993, I would have seen Hocus Pocus, but it's impossible to say, of course.

I really hope that you enjoy it a great deal, too, and can just imagine how fun + exciting it must be to watch this (now) classic Halloween film for the first time.

It may have been geared, at least in part, towards a younger crowd initially, but IMO, Hocus Pocus is a true Hollywood treat for viewers of all ages.

Wishing you an absolutely fang-tastic Halloween!
