In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/fall-2021-edition-of-magick-crafty-makes-and-me/#comment-13463">Debi</a>.

Thank you from the bottom of my sincerely appreciative heart, dear Debi. I hope and wish the very same for you and your family as well.

While profoundly grounded in reality, I have no shortage of hope and optimism for 2022 - including that perhaps things will improve even just a smidge on the health front for me (and, ideally, I would absolutely love to launch my ASMR channel at long last, but am painfully aware that might not happen due to my health). Time shall tell!

True to form, I am already thinking about our beloved fall + Halloween and have started jotting down some ideas for future autumnal craft projects that I would like to make at some point in the coming months (including one that I would love to make for you, my sweet friend).

Many thanks again for everything. Your presence in my life is a cherished blessing.

In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/fall-2021-edition-of-magick-crafty-makes-and-me/#comment-12487">Sanne</a>.

You are sincerely welcome, my sweet friend.

I do indeed and honestly, at times when I've contemplated retiring or revamping this quarterly series, I have thought of your love it and quickly banished that idea from my mind.

The main reason it was there in the first place is that, initially, this series was not overly popular with my readers. Happily, though, that is changing and the traffic + comments this series receives both shot up considerably throughout 2021.

(Just to clarify, I am by no means number obsessed with this blog in the slightest. It's just that as these Magick, Crafty Makes, and Me posts take an average of 8 - 15+ hours each to compose and write, I could, objectively, put that time towards other content that tends to do better instead. Again though, I'm delighted to say that more folks are getting into this series and as such it will be staying put for the time being.)

Oh my word, Doodles are the absolute cutest!!! How exciting for your son and his GF.

There's a fairly new (to the best of my knowledge) Doodle breed on the scene that we've already seen a couple of in our region. It is a cross between a Bernese Mountain dog and a classic Doodle, and is so cute + friendly you can hardly keep from squealing aloud when you see one.

While we are not looking to add a second dog to our lives at present, we have already said that when the time comes to welcome a new dog again one day, Bernerdoodles will be a serious contender.

I really appreciate both the thoughts that some of these links stirred in you as well as your deeply caring wishes.

I won't lie, my health is doing very poorly these days and continues to worsen the longer I go without diagnoses and, hopefully, treatments that are able to help at least a little bit for the (kinda) new, very challenging issues that I've been contending with as of late.

The year is still wonderfully young though and I hold out a very (!) realistic amount of hope that perhaps by the time New Year's Eve 2022 arrives, things will have improved even just a whisper on that front.

Immense hugs & the very happiest of wishes for a fantastic year!

Thankfully, we've all endured 2021 and I am hoping for an amazing 2022. So far, it's been an interesting month. January 1 brought tornado warnings and January 2 followed up with snow. And since we so rarely see that here, I'm calling it a special early 2022 gift.
Your ideas for celebration were varied and intriguing, and I love the idea of making the soy candles.
I hope that 2022 is kind to you and your family, Autumn!

Thank you for this long and cosy read, you know I love them.

I loved the idea of an indoor snowball fight, I hope to remember the idea if I ever am lucky enough to get grandchildren. As a start son and his GF has got a doodle puppy, he is the cutest and loves me. Son thinks I'm a dog-whisper.

The mini album was right up my BuJo alley, cute and easy to have in my purse or displayed at work.

The sand jars reminded me of my sister, who has travelled a lot and has brought sand with her home from all her travels during the past 40 years or so. It is such a fun souvenir. My souvenirs are soaps and tea, so I don't have a collection like her, but enjoy using both thinking of my holiday.

I love winter too, although I hate the cold darkness, but I love the season of hygge, silence and knitting. Come spring, come stress. Meaning in spring everything needs to be done at the same time, SO much work and chores to do.

I am sorry to hear about your health, I will end wishing you all the best and sending good vibes all the way from Denmark.

In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/fall-2021-edition-of-magick-crafty-makes-and-me/#comment-11796">Hilary</a>.

Sweet Hilary, you are such a caring, understanding, lovely soul. Thank you deeply not only for your touching comment on this post, but for each and every meaningful word you've blessed my days with throughout 2021.

I too worry a good deal about how our planet is going to save itself from the ecological crisis and its corresponding impact on weather and the climate that we are experiencing profusely in these early days (relatively speaking) of the 21st century.

Objectively, baring something truly cataclysmic, it is likely that we as a species will be able to keep going, at least somewhat normally (as in the ways we're accustomed to modern life being) for a few more generations, but beyond that, things feel, to my mind at least, like much more of an open-ended question which it is the responsibility of those alive today and who will immediately follow us to answer. Not merely on paper or spoken words, but through drastic, immensely necessary measures (including massively slashing our reliance on fossil fuels).

I have faith that there is still time for the earth and her people to pull through, but it is safe to say that we're inching ever closer (and may already be there on some fronts) to the 11th hour.

Okay, but enough heavy talk for now! We're two days past Christmas and a mere four until New Year's Eve. I've always really enjoyed the "in-between" days that span these two holidays. They're often a peaceful, introspective time that allows us to reflect both on what was (throughout the year that's ending) and what may lie ahead - all against a festive backdrop of wintertime cheer.

Thank you again deeply, my friend. May you and your loved ones experience a serene and joy-filled tail end of the year that leads to an excellent 2022.

In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/fall-2021-edition-of-magick-crafty-makes-and-me/#comment-11715">Donna</a>.

Thank you deeply, Donna. I sincerely appreciate your care and kindness.

It is starting, no joke, to feel like this province is playing Russian roulette with the weather. After this summer's horrific wildfire season, many a voice spoke up to say they might consider moving from BC to get away from that risk (or at least to minimize it elsewhere). Some downright did.

We're not quite at that point ourselves, but if we continue to experience summer after summer of our home (and by extension, lives) being put a risk due to forest fires, then, yes, we too will have to think long and hard about if living where we currently do sustainable for us in the long-run.

Flooding is not as common here as in some (primarily more southerly) parts of the province, but that too is something to keep in mind as well, if we're debating leaving the area or staying put.

Hopefully, the coming year will be substantially kinder to the people of this province, as well as to all those around the globe who had a rough (if not downright brutally bad) 2021 in any way.

Many hugs & the sweet of New Year's countdown wishes coming your way,

Thank you deeply on each count, sweet Ivana. I second your hope with the strength of a million glowing suns and holdfast to the possibility that come this time next year, things will have improved to some degree not only for both of us, but for countless others the world over as well.

Warm hugs from ice-cold BC (we woke up to a very nippy -28C today),
