I hear you big time, dear Emma – CAS style does not come easily or naturally for me at all either.

Like yourself, I will sometimes play around with fewer layers, but honestly can’t recall offhand the last time I made a single (or even just double) layer project. The closest would probably be a Halloween-themed scrapbook page a few years ago (not blogged thus far), which was relatively one-dimensional, but even then, it wasn’t without a few flatter layers and various embellishments.

Why, I figure, fight one’s natural style inclinations? Far more enjoyable to give in and go to town on the layering/embellishing front if that’s what you feel called towards. 😃

I love lots of layers, although lately my style is slightly less layers, im certainly not good at no layers CAS style – like many i love the look of them but not ‘me’, but then it would be boring if we all liked the same things wouldn’t it. Natural is definitely my first love with crafting as im surrounded by it so it certainly influences my projects. Hugs Emmax

Thank you mightily, my very dear friend. Your abundant kindness towards this festive springtime card not only caused my checks to blush, but more than made my whole day.

Yikes! I’m sorry that you experienced snow in April as well this year. This past winter was such a long, snowy one for many corners of the world. It really makes one wonder what 2021/2022 will hold in store for all of us on that front.

Your weekend alone sounds positively marvellous! As the pandemic has made personal or business trips (even within the country) pretty much impossible, Tony’s been home for over 1.5 years now (not, of course, that I mind in the slightest) and so I’ve not had the house to myself for more than a few hours at a time every once in a while if he’s run an errand or gone on a long bike ride.

It’s a true blessing that Tony and I are best friends and that we get along smashingly. As a complete introvert, it can be very tricky for me to be around people, no matter how much I love them, all the time. However, because we’re so close and have such a meaningful bond, thankfully Tony and I have both faired well during all of this time spent together during the pandemic.

But enough about me! I hope that your weekend was gloriously relaxing and that you were able to spend time doing everything your heart desired.

When not immersed in a sea of black, grey, and various fall tones, rich berries, plums, burgundies, and earth tones are go-to colours, both for fashion and paper crafting. Mauve falls into the berry/plum palette in my books and takes to spring, IMO, like a duck to water. Now, if only I had more of it hanging in my current closet… 😄
