Aww! Thank you very much for sharing a bit about your darling Sarah – including the fact that she is an introvert (that is as far a polar opposite as you could get from our very outgoing Miss Annie). As one myself, I have all the more of a soft spot for pets that fall unto the introvert camp as well. 💗

Annie is far from wild about couriers (we don’t get most forms of national postal service mail delivered to our home; it goes to a community bank of locked mailboxes at the end of our street) or really anyone else – save for the handful of loved ones she is already well acquainted with – coming to our door either.

The thing that always cracks me up there, however, is that were that person to come into our house, sit down on the couch and pet Annie for all of a few minutes, she would treat them like they’d been BBFs for years (which is why it is no word of a lie when we say to people that Annie is all bark and no bite 😄).

That is definitely a term! 😀 From day one, (in the context of Annie) we have referred to my mom as her human grandma.

Much as how Anton loves you beyond measure, there are not words enough to describe how much Annie adores my mom. Anytime she comes for a visit, Annie all but forgets that Tony and I exist! 😄 (It’s the cutest thing!)

Those really are cool coincidences regarding names and birthdays. Is your son’s dog’s full name Anton, Anthony, or (like my Tony) Antonio?

You (and your niece!) just beyond made my week. Thank you so much for relaying that wonderfully kind compliment. If you would ever like me to make a card for you to give to her, just let me know and I will happily do so, sweet Sanne.

😊 Thank you immensely, my sweet friend! I can scarcely believe that it took about 2.5 years of this blog’s life for me to shine the spotlight on Annie to this degree and am really happy to have had a chance to finally do so here.

I hope that your DH + family in general had a fantastic Father’s Day and that now, a couple of weeks later, you are all enjoying a wonderful Canada Day long weekend. 🎉

Love the names that you and L use to refer to each other around Vizzini. We are “mom/mama” and “dad/daddy” in the regard to Annie and she very much recognizes those are our names (to her), which is great if you want to tell her something like “Go see daddy” or “Bring mama the ball”. 😊

That really is a mightily sad thought and one that I suspect most pet owners try very hard to not spend too much time thinking about. When those types of thoughts do really take hold me, I try to shift them to the fact that we are fortunate to have been able to give Annie a really nice life that has included her getting to be around us the vast majority of the time given that we both work primarily from home.

With cats (especially indoor kitties) living, on average, longer than dogs, chances are Vinizzi may be with you longer than we get to experience our precious Miss Annie.

She is still fabulously spry and mobile (and that’s with the dog equivalent of two human hip replacements), showing nary a sign yet of slowing down so thankfully we don’t worry too often yet about the day when she will cross the rainbow bridge.

I am tremendously sorry that both you and L lost your fathers more than two decades ago. My biological father is not in my life at all (and hasn’t been for a long time now) and as my step-father vanished from my life as soon as he cheated on my mom – which no one saw coming in a million years – and told her he didn’t want to be together anymore (that happened in the spring of 2018), I haven’t had a father figure in my life for a while now either. That spurs me on all the more to make sure and celebrate Tony being Annie’s “dad” each June – especially since he really is a phenomenal pet parent (just as I know you and L are too darling V).

Definitely! Proper punctuation is very important to me as well. There have been numerous times over the years when even though I liked a scrapbooking product, if there were typos, missing punctuation, and the like anywhere on it, I passed it by (ditto, come to think of it, for store-bought greeting cards).

You are wonderfully kind, dear Debi. Thank you very much on every front. I really am lucky to be married to a man who doesn’t bat an eye when it comes to “feminine” colours and embellishments. That really opens up the creative playing field for me when designing projects for him. 😀

It is awesome that you and your DH get to be fur grandparents to Molly. We always refer to my mom as being Annie’s grandma, too (and as her two middle names, we gave Annie my mom’s first and middle name).

Annie loves my mom beyond measure. If she sees a car that even slightly resembles my mom’s she gets excited, thinking that maybe it’s hers and when she comes to visit, Annie all but forgets about us and attaches herself to my mom like velcro. It’s the cutest thing ever!!! 🥰
