There are innumerable ways that my lifelong love of vintage continues to shine brightly throughout my life, including via some of my paper crafting projects – and likewise through continuing to delight in yesteryear movies and music.

Absolutely! Both she and Vera-Ellen gave knock-out performances in that movie. The fashions they wore in it hugely influenced my early childhood development of a passion for all things vintage, and in turn, my own style when I got old enough to begin sporting mid-century attire. To this day, I still want both of their wardrobes – especially the “Mrs Claus” dresses they wear in the final musical number of White Christmas (swoon!).

Many, many apologies for the late reply to your lovely comment. It’s been a staggeringly busy summer for us, which coupled with some health flare-ups, has often kept me from being online. Thankfully I’m feeling a touch better at the moment and our schedule/workload isn’t quite as intense this week, so starting tonight, I’m playing catch-up here on my blog.

I hope that your month has been going positively, safely and enjoyably. Even with the less than ideal elements (personally and globally), I’ve truly loved this summer and while I’m eager for fall’s return, naturally :D, know I’ll be a touch blue to see this season wrap up for another year.

Aren’t they fabulous? Sometimes I’ll queue up a handful of my favourite yesteryear holiday tunes and enjoy them at times of the year other than December. They have a distinct beauty and appeal that I never tire of and which brings me happiness the whole year through.

While I wouldn’t say no to some nippy wintertime temps right about now, as the mercury inches ever closer to the high 30s C (around 100F), I am likewise not quite fully ready for December either.
