Very true, my sweet friend. I'm deeply sorry you feel that way, however, and want you to know that I can sincerely relate. The longer the pandemic stretches out, the stranger it becomes to live in a world with relatively few future plans (let alone ones for exciting/happy/positive things vs, say, routine things like medical appointments).

While the realist in me is 100% bracing for the reality that such may not prove to be the case, I continue to hold out hope that perhaps the pandemic will come to an end at some point this year. And, that in doing so, life will start to regain a greater sense of normalcy (planning included) come the spring of 2022.

Definitely! I would love to move into and try to save any of those stunning American homes that could still be salvaged.

I really appreciate your comment (thank you for leaving it), lovely Lorena, and hope that you have a peaceful, happy, and very enjoyable Easter long weekend.

Big hugs,

In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/winter-2021-edition-of-magick-crafty-makes-and-me/#comment-4114">Sanne</a>.

Thank you very much, my sweet friend. As I know you are a huge fan of this post series (I swear, whenever I debate retiring it - as I often question if the many hours of work involved are worth it given how few of my other readers seem to be into this ongoing link love series - I think about how much you adore it and, thus far, that sprurs me on to put out a fresh edition as each season draws to a close), it really means a lot to me that share some of your thoughts about each edition and/or the current season here.

While I do engage in some spring cleaning around our house and property, we have (by choice) an extremely low maintenance yard, so the return of sunny weather doesn't generally equate to a great deal more outdoor work for me/us. I'm sorry that such is the case on your end and sincerely hope that your workload isn't too exhaustively brutal this time around.

And speaking of work, it's fantastic that you're still jiving big time with your current job. It makes my heart smile to hear that.

Happiest wishes for Easter, April, and the whole of this beautiful season!

Thank you very much, my sweet friend. I'm delighted to know that some of the links in this post caught your eye. I greatly enjoy tucking away stories that may land in the next edition of this link love series throughout each of the year's four seasons, and really appreciate your positive feedback about these quarterly posts.

Big hugs & the very happiest start of April wishes!

As I read you, I cannot believe it's already been a year. I feel I have lost an entire year of my life.
I feel it is so uncertain I do not even want to make plans at all. These days it is just one day at the time.
On brighter topics I thought the idea of recreating a mummy's voice was incredible ! and those old homes are amazing, they might be in ruins but I still want to move in!

Thank you so much, sweet Debi. I really appreciate your support, encouragement and kindness. The posts in this series are not the absolute most popular/most read on my site. However, those who do enjoy them, really seem to be huge fans and that fuels me on to keep putting editions of Magick, Crafty Makes, & Me together as each season draws to a close.

Huge hugs & the very happiest of wishes for every day of this spring!

In reply to <a href="https://witchcraftedlife.com/winter-2021-edition-of-magick-crafty-makes-and-me/#comment-4064">Nora Noll</a>.

Thank you very much, Nora. I sincerely appreciate your comment and that you spoke candidly regarding some of your views on the pandemic.

There have been, no two ways about it, countless remarkable, selfless, inspiring, brave, and incredibly caring acts, both big and small alike, done by many around the world since this horrific illness first took hold. However, as you wisely said, the pandemic has also brought to the fore all the more (some of) the ways in which certain individuals chose to behave and treat others in the midst of a global crisis.

This has been disheartening (and worrisome), and makes one wonder what things will be like the next time a worldwide pandemic strikes (and/or if this one mutates beyond the scope of the current vaccine). Because, objectively, it's not a matter of "if", but "when" that occurs.

I hope dearly that we will as a society will be better equipped to handle the next one and that (even) more people will take it seriously, abide by safety procedures, and realize that personal sacrifices really do save lives.

Thank you again - very much including for the wonderfully supportive lines that you closed your comment with it (they made my week and then some!).

May you have an extremely safe, peaceful, and happy spring!

I hate spring! I really do! Ha. I don't really hate spring, because it is truly hope with the returning of the light, leaves, flowers, colours - I love all that. What I hate is that everything needs to be done at the same time. Suddenly you can see all the spiderwebs, dirty windows, the garden needs my attention, so does our lovely greenhouse, furniture, etc etc. Sigh. I've taken the four days after Easter off (from my job, which I still love!) to work, work, work. Have a lovely Easter, dear.

What a lovely optimistic post on this Spring. I’m embracing the slightly warmer weather by spending even more time outdoors.
As always, I look forward to trying some of the ideas you mentioned here. The paper pleating tutorial is something new that I would love to try.
Keep these fun ideas coming, Autumn!
