I adore, absolutely adore dragonflies. When Tony and I lived considerably further south in the Okanagan, we would sometimes go to a charming little lake called Yellow Lake on warm summer days, sit or lay on the dock, and watch dragonflies, various birds, adorable little turtles, and assorted fish come and go around us for hours on end. Anytime I work with dragonflies now in my crafting, I think back fondly on those wonderful afternoons.

Hello lovely Sanne, what a terrific idea for a blog post. I really appreciate your suggestion and have added it to my ever-expanding list of posts I hope to write. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if there’s ever anything else you’d like me to try and cover here.

In a nutshell, washi tape is rather like a thin, (generally) not overly tacky version of masking tape. It comes in a huge array of patterns, various widths, and assorted qualities, and stemmed originally from adhesive being applied to strips of traditional Japanese washi paper. These days (and for several years at least now) it’s been a popular crafting and journaling related product, which can be obtained online and off from a wide array of sources.
